Minato follows suit with the Evoker pointed at his head, shuffling through his Personas to quickly draw on Thanatos instead of Messiah.
(Some things don't need to be shown, yet, especially to other Persona users.)]
Thanatos!
[Go go go, time for a physical attack...!!
It shatters the ice, which seems to have done some pretty serious damage to the creature... but it's tough, and gets back up quickly, throwing a roar their way before it just... flat out charges them.]
[ Yeah, uh, that form is definitely familiar. But Maya can worry about that later, because as it charges, she's leaping off to the side and pulling Minato with her. It's a bit harder than just having the both of them spring apart to avoid the chimera's charge, but she supposes that's the point. ]
Minato's never done a fusion spell with another person before--but now that she brings it up, isn't it natural that if she has the right Persona, or the right skills, then....
He nods, firmly, and:]
Tell me what you need, and I'll make it happen.
[He's probably got it in his arsenal somewhere...]
[With his Evoker up, he fires, summoning Sandalphon on her count to cast Bufudyne--he's trusting she knows what she's doing in regards to fusion spells, even though he's never had to do one with someone else before.
[ The brackets have it right. But Minato's trust is founded-- Maya's definitely done this with other Persona users, and while they tend to instinctively know when to launch a fusion spell, she certainly doesn't mind working with someone a little more new to it.
Artemis is already appearing to cast a Bufudyne of her own-- except instead of two Bufudynes, it's more like a massive storm of ice swirling around the two Personas before slamming into the chimera mid-charge.
[It's an interesting experience. Minato's used to the strain of drawing on two Personas at once, the added cost to trying to cast a fusion spell on his own--this isn't that at all. This is legitimately drawing upon both of their strengths to more fiercely defeat their enemies, and Minato is impressed--
Also.
It helps that the Chimera is just totally frozen solid now. Nice.]
[Oh my god... Maya is so happy. Minato kind of goes along with that raised hand of victory, mostly because he has no other choice, but is still kind of focused on the ice block.]
I've never been able to do a fusion spell with someone else.

Let's go find a chimera, then.
no subject
Considering what we're dealing with, one shouldn't be too hard to track down.
no subject
[A firm nod!!]
Let's go.
[INTO THE WOODS WITH THEM.]
no subject
But no, in they go, and Maya's sniffing the air-- ]
... It smells burnt in here.
no subject
[Hm...!!
Minato's definitely peering around a bit more warily, Evoker in his free hand as he looks around.]
no subject
[ Although that odd hiss of a roar in the not-so-distant distance is also sounding promising. ]
no subject
... Oh.
That way, then.
[AT LEAST HE TAKES IT IN STRIDE.]
no subject
[ And so, with a cheerful swing of their joined hands, Maya will set out. ]
no subject
Mostly by fixing them with beady eyes and snarling fiercely.
Minato pauses.]
Hm... Found it.
[Monsters, at least, he can deal with. He grasps his Evoker a bit more tightly, glancing over at Maya.]
Ready?
no subject
Ready!
[ Which is to say, she's flinging a Bufudyne at this monstrosity right as it lunges for them. ]

I can't even be surprised that it'd be angry!
no subject
You saw him as--
[Focus!! He's getting dragged off to one side as Maya yanks him there, but he's at least able to keep his feet.
The chimera slams into a tree.
Ouch.]
Ah. Now it's going to be really mad...
no subject
[ And that's for the best. ]
-- Minato-kun, have you heard of fusion spells before?
no subject
Minato's never done a fusion spell with another person before--but now that she brings it up, isn't it natural that if she has the right Persona, or the right skills, then....

[ And she's speaking quickly, because they don't really have a whole lot of time to have a Persona powwow right at this very moment. ]
no subject
Got it! I'm ready...!
no subject
[ Maya's waiting for the chimera to reorient itself, and boy does it look pissed as it stalks towards them. Under her breath, the closer it gets... ]
Three... two... now!
no subject
Let's do this...!]

Poor thing. ]

Also.
It helps that the Chimera is just totally frozen solid now. Nice.]
... Wow. That was really cool, Amano-san.
no subject
[ this poor ice block of a chimera, but Maya will happily raise their joined hands in victory. ]
no subject
I've never been able to do a fusion spell with someone else.
[He was always on his owwwwn.]
no subject
[ now Minato knows. ]
You did a great job, Minato-kun!
no subject
[P...praise... he wasn't expecting that, but he does look a little pleased despite himself.]
Hm...whether it thaws or not, I think we've succeeded, don't you? We just had to defeat it, after all.
